It is often believed that one's success in life always seems to be tied to one's ability to read books. They say that successful people mostly read self-help books, and they try to improve their lives. But they wouldn't have read such books from their young age but age-appropriate books.
Last year for Christmas, we received a large size android television as a gift for the children. We decided to convert our existing library into a smart library with an android TV, speaker system and a good set of books for children to immerse themselves in.
The books that we have are mostly in English which many of our girls cannot read and also they are very old, so, we decided to reach out to our donors with a list of books that we think girls would enjoy reading, to ask them to donate a book or two.
We just put together a set of 15 books for now and kindly take a look at this list of books at this link and all of them are available on Amazon. If you can, consider donating one or more books for these children's library. Before you place an order for the book(s), kindly check with us (drop a whatsapp message at 9629471920 or an email to ruby@indiahopehouse.org) so that we can avoid double ordering these books. If you have an old book of these titles in Tamil and willing to donate, please do let us know so that we can collect it from you.
We plan to have a "book review day" once a month to assess their interest in the kind of books they are enjoying reading and add more to the list.
